Early career clinicians often face demanding caseloads, steep learning curves, and the pressure to “do it all,” which can quickly lead to burnout. This course provides a practical, research-informed framework for building healthy, sustainable professional habits from the start. Participants will explore common contributors to burnout, examine how boundaries and workload management affect overall well-being, and learn actionable strategies to strengthen resilience. Through case studies, guided reflection, and personalized planning, clinicians will leave with a clear roadmap for integrating healthy routines into their everyday practice to support long-term growth, satisfaction, and sustainability in the field.
Following this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify primary factors that contribute to burnout in early career clinicians.
- Explain how workload, boundaries, and reflective practices influence well-being.
- Describe three evidence-based habits that support resilience and reduce stress.
- Create a personalized plan to integrate healthy habits into daily clinical practice.
This course meets the requirement for Professional Development hours towards your ASHA renewal since it is approved by TSHA! You can count these hours towards ASHA renewal when you submit your Compliance Form.
