This course provides clinical supervisors with practical strategies to foster equitable, collaborative supervision with assistants / support personnel. Participants will explore cross-disciplinary standards, cultural humility, and mindset shifts to move from compliance-driven oversight toward empowered partnerships. Through case examples, reflection exercises, and downloadable templates, supervisors will gain tools to strengthen communication, feedback, and trust while promoting professional growth for support personnel.

Following this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify 2 power dynamics that limit support personnel growth.
  2. Define what equitable supervision looks like across therapy disciplines.
  3. Apply 3 practical tools to foster collaboration and trust in supervision.

This course meets the requirement for Professional Development hours towards your ASHA renewal since it is approved by TSHA! You can count these hours towards ASHA renewal when you submit your Compliance Form. It also meets the Supervision requirement.

Important for Texas OT practitioners: Although this course supports personal and /or professional growth and workplace effectiveness, the Texas OT Board does not currently recognize this topic area as eligible for continuing education credit for OT licensure renewal. Therefore, TOTA approval is not available for this course.
