Pediatric physical, occupational and speech therapists in home health must navigate regulations from their governing bodies, Health and Human Services, and professional codes of ethics while providing medically necessary care. This course will explain the “why” behind the regulations and why we do things the way we do! Participants will learn how to identify and report ethical violations, understand the fraud investigation process, and safeguard against allegations. The course also addresses patient privacy, HIPAA compliance, and decision-making that balances ethical standards, state and federal regulations, and best therapy practices.
This course meets the requirement for Professional Development hours towards your ASHA renewal since it is approved by TSHA! You can count these hours towards ASHA renewal when you submit your Compliance Form.
