Complex Pediatric Dysphagia: Case Studies and Medical Management

The management of complex pediatric dysphagia requires advanced knowledge of a variety of medical diagnoses, development, and medical/surgical interventions’ impact on swallowing. As part of this presentation we will review a variety of diagnoses with associated dysphagia, multidisciplinary team management, and case studies to assist in problem solving.

Following this course participants will be able to:

1. Describe a variety of common pediatric medical diagnoses with associated dysphagia
2.  Identify key team members as part of a multidisciplinary team
3. Describe medical and surgical management of pediatric dysphagia in a variety of patient populations
