CEU Questions

All speech courses are approved by Texas Speech and Hearing Association (TSHA). TSHA is an approved ASHA CEU Provider. Therefore, all TSHA approved courses count towards your Professional Development hours for ASHA. For your state licensure, please check with their requirements as each state is different. However, there are many states that accept other state approvals. See “How do I report my CEUs to ASHA?” below for more details.

Keep your course certificate of completion for any future audit. At the end of your 3-year interval, submit your Compliance Form through the ASHA website. You can find instructions on how to do this on the ASHA website – search “Submit Compliance Form”.

Once you have completed all of the lessons within the course, including the post-test and course evaluation, you will receive your certificate. You can download it immediately (save as with left click). You can also find your certificate in your profile under “Certificates.”

All completed course certificates live within your profile in the “Certificates” section. If you believe a course certificate is missing, please e-mail [email protected] for assistance.

The American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) does not have an approval process for continuing education credits. It is up to each state board to set its own requirements when it comes to CEU/CCU approval. At Knowledge Is Now, our courses are approved through the Texas Physical Therapy Associate (TPTA). There are many states that accept other state approvals. If your state does not automatically accept approvals from the TPTA, they may have a process for you to submit the certificate for approval independently! Check with your state board for the requirements specific to your state.

The American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) does not manage continuing education credits for state licensure. Each state licensure board sets its own requirements and processes for approval. Knowledge Is Now courses advertised for OT professionals are approved by the Texas Occupational Therapy Association (TOTA), unless otherwise stated. Many states automatically accept continuing education credits approved by other states or have a process for review and approval for those courses/credits. Check with your state board for details.
