Knowledge Is Now is committed to partnering with highly skilled, knowledgeable, innovative instructors to provide current, dynamic course content that supports the diverse pediatric community. We are diligent about getting to know potential instructors and their work to ensure the instructors we partner with share our passion for evidence-based practice and principles of adult learning. Our instructors also collaborate with us to update their content regularly and to contribute to learning pathways and curated course packages to continuously enhance the quality of content for our customers.
Breanna Waldrup, MS, CCC-SLP is a prime example of everything we love about a KIN Instructor Partner. Here are some of the reasons we highly value our partnership with Breanna:
- Educational Foundations: Breanna earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Neurobiology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Texas at Austin in 2006. She graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology (MS, CCC-SLP) in 2008. Breanna represents the state of Texas well!
- Specialized Experience: Breanna spent her first years working for Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) treating children with a variety of communication, feeding and swallowing challenges. In 2012, she began working at a small private practice specializing in the treatment of CAS (Childhood Apraxia of Speech). Committed to expanding her knowledge about CAS, she started learning more via continuing education courses, on-the-job training, and was mentored by a CAS-specialized practice owner. Breanna took over ownership of her mentor’s practice until 2024. Breanna has been a speech-language pathologist for 17 years, with 13 years of specialization in CAS. We have yet to encounter anyone else who teaches coarticulation with as much detail or depth as she does and we greatly value her utilization of the principles of motor learning!
- Love of Learning and Teaching: As a self-described lifelong learner, Breanna is passionate about learning and teaching, and continually seeks new information to broaden her understanding and share that information with others. She loves teaching and always has. Here is what her students have to say about her teaching:
Coarticulation: What Is It and How to Include It In Treatment of Speech Sound Disorders
“Loved it! Real clinical application and immediate ideas to take back to therapy sessions! Can’t wait for more sessions from Breanna!!” M.Y
Utilizing the Latest Tools to Identify and Diagnose CAS
“This course was AMAZING!!! Wonderful review of variety of motor speech d/o, excellent tools to now use to more accurately dx CAS and fantastic video and audio examples in case studies! LOVED it!!!!” R.D.
Assessing Coarticulation and Determining Goals
“I always love your courses. They get right down to business with the information that will help the most!” B.R.
- Evidence Based Teaching Philosophy: When Breanna started treating children with CAS, many of them also had difficulties with reading, so she also started learning about evidence-based literacy instruction and incorporated that into her courses. Breanna also began sharing that information at both state and national conferences. Evidence Based teaching is a MUST for instructor content!
- Passion for Advocacy: Supporting children who struggle with speech is Breanna’s passion. She has a huge heart for children who are often not seen and heard. Her goal is for these children to be seen and heard, and to better equip their caregivers, as well as other Speech-Language Pathologists, so they can reach their communication potential. Breanna is making a profound impact in our pediatric community!
- Relevancy in Pediatrics: Since 2015, Breanna has mentored and trained other Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs). In 2016 she started presenting at TSHA’s annual conference and the Apraxia Kids national conference on CAS, school districts and other entities. She continues to treat a small caseload of children, while also consulting with and teaching others. Breanna’s 2025 course lineup offers a great opportunity for both new and experienced therapists to assess their current skill level and follow a clear path for growth and development!
- In-Depth Apraxia Packages: Breanna’s Curated Course Packages focused on CAS have given her the opportunity to discuss specific topics in greater depth, while also offering foundational content. She provides the opportunity for SLPs to jump in at whatever level works best for them, and continue their learning in manageable pieces. Breanna has multiple individual course offerings (recorded webinars and upcoming live webinars) and curated course packages. Make sure to check out ALL of Breanna’s offerings!
- Broad Interests: Breanna is a passionate runner and marathoner. She has completed over 200 marathons, including a marathon or ultra marathon in all 50 states, 15 countries and counting!!! She also loves to travel and has visited more than 20 countries so far. She loves sharing these experiences with her husband and two fur babies. We love getting to know our instructors on a personal level!
